...with hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there....

Can HARDLY BELIEVE Christmas is already next weekend! My where did the time go... am still marking off my Christmas list for shopping - and not nearly done. I seem to do this every year - have high hopes of doing all my shopping early - only to find myself indeed scrambling at the last minute as years before - :)
Snuck in a wee bit of time late one evening while the girls were snoozin' to create a few more tags...not like I couldn't have spent my time wrapping gifts or something - :) But had the creating itch....

Am making this short - as the "stockings" are not hung yet by the chimney with care.... and so another item to get checked off my list this evening - :)

... and so the rush of the Holidays begins...

Hope this entry finds all having had a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends... my,... where did November go???? It always seems everything is put into high gear this time of year and the time flies by so fast - the next thing you know the Holidays have come and gone and you wish you'd had more time somewhere along the way to slow down and have actually enjoyed it....
Trying to juggle the constant flow of company, gift searching, cleaning and then cleaning some more, recreating for the shops and attempting to keep them half full this time of year, more cleaning and more gift searching (a never ending chore it seems)... the really important things sometimes get pushed aside - like truly cherishing the time with family and SLOWING down and enjoying it.
And so as I began my nightly ordeal of filling orders yesterday after supper my 4 year old came up and asked to play "Hide and Seek"... and my mumbled answer as I tried to keep my train of thought on where I was at with the orders and what needed to be made was "... in a little bit, hun...."  and her reply was "it has already been a little bit..." reminding me she had asked me earlier that afternoon as we scampered out the door to the post office ... and so I set everything down - and covered my eyes and began to count out loud... "ONE, TWO, THREE..." - her giggles as she ran down the hallway to find the perfect hiding spot (likely one of the same three places she generally always uses - LOL).... weighed heavy on my heart... reminding me that THIS is what is truly important....
...and so we three played hide and seek until dad returned home and included him in on the game for awhile before homework and bedtime rolled around...
...and after my two little dreamy heads drifted off to sleep I picked up where I had left off with my work.... with a smile on my face...
Alrighty then... enough of lifes lessons shared...  here is a little creation I recently made.... I have SOOO many plans and wishes for items to create - but again the time is not always there... so we will have to see what we get checked off our list before Christmas rolls around - :)

The Arrival of November...

Can't believe it is already November. The girls had a lovely time last night Tick-Or-Treating and brought many yummy treats home for mommy to sneak - :)
Toodled around in the studio a wee bit making more ribbons this evening and took a break to make a few tags...

Figuring Out This Blogging Thing

Alright.... so I created this blog a while back - and only typed in the first post - :) Simply didn't have the time (or maybe - truth be told - commited the time) to get all the little blog set up figured out - LOL - Even thought of hiring an individual to set it up for me... as I can be a bit of a niteeyit when it comes to all the computer mumbo jumbo - so please all bear with me...
Been playing around with making a few gift tags lately - I SOOO love to just sit and create such whimsies.... but around here on the prairie the summer was busy and flew by...followed by our harvest... which is always a run run run... relieved to be finished and have that all wrapped up.... so on to a few creations....

Came across an antique typewriter from the early 40s or so at a garage sale lately and have been loving using it in my creations. Just adore using vintage laces and trimmings and I like the "old fashioned" touch the typewriter brings to my creations.... hope you agree... and it was a steal at only $25.... Luv Luv it!

Alright better get to homework with Abby... again please bear with my as I figure all this out - LOL!
